Elon Musk’s X – host livestream Donald Trump’s Town Hall Event:
Elon Musk’s X platform will have a live town hall with former President Donald Trump. Shortly after, Trump was convicted guilty of bribing a porn star to stay silent in order to illegally influence the 2016 election.
This is the first time X has planned to spotlight a potential Republican presidential candidate. Axios first reported on the plot on Thursday, the same day he was convicted guilty in 34 charges of intimidation related to paying for silence in New York.
Musk, who has previously voted for both Republicans and Democrats, recently denounced the Biden administration for becoming too close to Trump.
At the end of 2022, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, lifted the ban on X -(formerly known as Twitter), which had been acquired for $44 billion. Trump, a former regular user of X, now writes only on Truth Social, a microblogging network he founded in late 2021.
“This will be interesting,” Musk, a contender to Trump’s presidency and a loud opponent of President Biden, commented on X in response to a New York Post article about the town hall.
According to Axios, X is partnering with cable news network NewsNation to hold “The People’s Town Hall,” which will feature Trump and prospective independent presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
