Indiana Fever v the Chicago Sky updates | Caitlin Clark v Angel Reese :
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever v Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky this afternoon.
On Saturday afternoon, the Indiana Fever (1-8) will play host to the Chicago Sky (3-3). Between these teams, this is the first of four regular-season games. Beginning in 2006, The Fever has an all-time series record of 38-28. Additionally, this marks Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese’s first professional match. It’s the first game that counts for the Commissioner’s Cup for the 2024 WNBA, which ends on June 25.
Despite the Indiana Fever’s (below 1–8) difficult start to the season, Caitlin Clark is still making waves in the league. With 30 points, five rebounds, six assists, three steals, and three blocks, the standout rookie concluded her most recent game against the Los Angeles Sparks. With this performance, Clark becomes just the fourth player overall and the first rookie in WNBA history to have a stat line of 30-5-5-3-3. It just goes to show that Caitlin Clark’s influence is still felt even after a difficult start to her debut year.
Angel Reese, a rookie, and Kamilla Cardoso are featured in The Sky. Having been picked third overall in the WNBA draft, Cardoso will start her regular season having sustained a shoulder injury during preseason play.
Indiana is still looking for their season’s first victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
