- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match:
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell –
A good pre-show match was held, with some fascinating places and narrative. Kargil and Belair have grown in popularity among fans and prominent players, thus it would be unusual for their match not to produce some interest, even on short shows like Saturday.
- King of the Ring Tournament Finals:
Gunther (Raw) vs. Randy Orton (Smackdown) –
Orton and Gunther delivered a fantastic performance in the King of the Rings final. For the most part, Orton was able to deliver his hits, matching Gunther’s devastating power face-to-face and demonstrating danger both physically and mentally within the ring. Anyone facing him at SummerSlam can expect another brutally horrific performance.
- Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals:
Lyra Valkyria (Raw) vs. Nia Jax (SmackDown) –
The results aren’t very exciting, given all of the considerations, but Jax will prove to be a formidable contender for the championship, whether it’s for Bayley or whoever the WWE Women’s Champion is. Valkyria’s outstanding performance in the Queen of the Ring tournament will provide a significant boost when she progresses on the main roster.
- Women’s World Championship Match:
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan –
With a strong performance to open the main card action on Saturday, and Dominik Mysterio stepping in to help Lynch, it appears that these two women will face off again on Monday night. We saw a new aspect to Morgan’s performance as she used submission grappling effectively throughout the fight. Lynch, as usual, should shine and remain one of the top talents in WWE, whether she’s champion or not.
- Triple Threat Match For WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable (with Otis) vs. Bronson Reed –
These three performed a fantastic performance in a riveting duel, displaying a variety of techniques and allowing each contender to shine. Zayn has become one of WWE’s most popular champions, Gable advanced the compelling Alpha Academy storyline, and Reed was the event’s breakout star.
- Undisputed WWE Championship Match:
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Logan Paul –
Rhodes appeared to be on track to retain his championship in Saudi Arabia, but this match did a better job of presenting a serious danger to his reign thanks to Paul’s hidden machinations. As much as I thought Paul would leave the competition empty-handed, they entered the game and had an impact on the conclusion. Rhodes continues to provide impressive big event matches, and I believe everyone would agree that Paul is as good as any other player at promoting and executing at the appropriate time. There is no clear path ahead for any champion, but everything is set to change soon.
